Jeremy, now in his mid-20s, has been writing music since elementary school. It started out as the undisciplined doodling instead of practicing for piano lessons. In his early teens this proceeded to writing electronic music ranging from techno to electronica to industrial to rock (and even some cheesy video game music). Then in 9th grade he picked up guitar which became his favorite musical device. Since then he has performed in a broad range of musical settings including: alternative 90s rock bands, as a solo acoustic artist, various college worship teams, and an energetic indie rock band. Lately he's taken his focus to the acoustic realm as a singer-songwriting, still providing quality songs, unconventional lyrics, and melodies that his friends want to sing along with. He brings an accessible set of tunes to the table. You can relax and enjoy, but also take something home to think about.

New Christmas Music!
Wednesday, 09 December 2009
Well, the compilation should be released tonight and then i shall post a link to it! I think we're selling it at a name-your-price thing, which honestly, if you appreciate me or any of the artists, anything would be grand... remember a lot of time and money goes into making our art. Far more than people realize.
All money recieved from this particular compilation is being given to World Vision
in order that people in other countries that have absolutely nothing can survive and be healthly. I know they say times are tough in the USA, and yes they are to a certain extent, but no one who asks in america goes hungry, there is always a way here. In other places, such as in Africa, things simply are not even within reach many times. Remember we are blessed like nothing else.
Now that you've read all that, take a listen to my song which will be included in the aforementioned compilation. "Evergreens" on myspace at the moment... http://myspace.com/jeremysimon
just a quick update: i'll be featured on this year's Pouch Records christmas compilation! more to come on that.
November 2009 News

greets to all you creatures!
it's november...more like the middle of it. and honestly, i'm not going to capitalization today. i prefer having a high resolution set for emphasis levels. ;)
so's what's been going on lately? lots of painting and studio rennovating and studio work. those are good things.
along with that, i've been plodding through potential candidates for the new album. i made a list and got a little exlcusive, telling all the new undeveloped ideas that keep happening that there's a huge list of other songs that never got their turn to be recorded. i guess, really, anna and i both have just been working on my focus. new ideas keep coming, which i'm thankful for, but there's a set of songs that are done and need to see the light of day. right? it's true, you know it.
there's been some restructuring. there have been some relatively older songs pulled out and revisited...no shame in that. there's been a list that's been getting stars, slashes and notes scribbed all over it. there's been a lot of plinking and choosing different keys for things. oh and somehow i started becoming too much of a perfectionist again, so there's been a lot of fighting the "thinking and planning too hard" which avails zero happening of anything. i really admire the people i know that just set out and do something. and heck, if it didn't come out well, they try again. the fact is, i'm slowly training and discliplining myself to give something a shot, even if the day's work will be 0% keeper stuff, because it'll get me further along in a few days than how i've been almost doing things this whole past year.
well, i've been working hard in my studio
getting some projects done for various bands.
otherwise,
i started pre-production on my next album. it's going to be very
different from 'progress '. most likely there will be multiple drummers
and heck, i'm gonna try to borrow a few different guitars from friends.
:) it's been fun trolling through idea recordings and well picking
from the stack of finished songs... we shall see eh? :)
the hope
is to get it done this fall. potentially there is a enough time, but
i'm not going to push for a hard deadline like we did on
'progress '....there's so much i wouldn't done differently. i would've
made time to get anna's singing in, probably allowed another song or
two to make it on, been far more thoughtful and patient with the art...something more 'win-some' to the eye...
but hey, we learn right? :) i think that's one lesson i've learned
over and over with this stuff and even from when i worked in the
corporate world: there's hard deadlines and there's quality. if
there's not enough quality, you blew it. of course, there is a balance. but it's a fact too much quality is sacrificed far too often. oh yes, and we're all crazy. it's true.
oh yes, also, andy and i are working on our born of tides
project as well. it's more andy's project than mine really. ;) i have a lot of singing to do though! the last week of october we have some days blocked off to get the drums down. we're slowly putting it all together in-between times he's not on tour doing sound and lights for the innerpartysystem .
alright. hoped you liked reading. and i hope i didn't mal-form any phrases again!
